Particle Size Distribution: Different dust collectors vary in their effectiveness at handling different particle sizes, so choose according to the dust's particle size distribution.
How to Choose a Dust Collector for Boiler Workshops

Choosing the appropriate dust collector depends on the following parameters:

  • Dust Concentration: The dust concentration that the dust collector needs to handle (measured in mg/m³).
  • Particle Size Distribution: Different dust collectors vary in their effectiveness at handling different particle sizes, so choose according to the dust's particle size distribution.
  • Corrosiveness: When handling dust containing corrosive substances, select a dust collector made of corrosion-resistant materials.
  • Oiliness: For dust containing oily substances, choose a dust collector suitable for handling oily dust.
  • Moisture Content: High-moisture dust requires dust collectors suitable for humid environments.
  • Explosion Hazard: When dealing with dust with explosion risks, choose explosion-proof dust collectors.
  • Air Volume: Choose a dust collector with the appropriate capacity based on actual air volume needs.

Baghouse Dust Collectors: Baghouse dust collectors offer high filtration efficiency for fine dust, suitable for high-concentration and fine particle dust collection. The filter media can be selected based on the dust characteristics, providing excellent adaptability.

Cartridge Dust Collectors: Cartridge dust collectors are highly efficient, especially suitable for handling fine and low-concentration dust.

Cyclone Dust Collectors: Cyclone dust collectors have simple structures and low costs, suitable for primary treatment of larger particles and often used as pre-dust collectors.

Wet Dust Collectors: Wet dust collectors are suitable for handling high-moisture, high-temperature dust, especially ideal for flammable and explosive dust, and can simultaneously remove dust and harmful gases.

When a single dust collector cannot meet the requirements, we recommend considering a combination approach, such as a baghouse dust collector paired with a cyclone dust collector, to achieve higher dust removal efficiency.
