Quick troubleshooting of electromagnetic pulse valve: common problems and solutions
Apr 16,2026
The electromagnetic pulse valve is the core component of the dust removal system in industrial dust removal equipment, responsible for controlling the on/off of the jet airflow. Its working state directly determines the dust removal efficiency, which in turn affects the stable operation of the entire dust removal system. This article summarizes common faults of electromagnetic pulse valves, quick troubleshooting ideas, and practical solutions, catering to the needs of foreign trade practitioners and equipment maintenance personnel, balancing simplicity and practicality, and helping to quickly solve faults and reduce downtime losses.
1、 Core principles of quick fault diagnosis
Following the idea of "first intuitive, then deep, first common, then individual", priority is given to locating faults through visual observation and parameter detection, without the need for complex tools. The focus is on troubleshooting the three core parts of the gas source, circuit, and valve core, quickly and efficiently solving problems, and avoiding excessive disassembly.
2、 Common faults+quick search methods+clever solutions
(1) Fault 1: Electromagnetic pulse valve does not operate
Quick check method: Observe whether the valve has a power signal, check whether the air source pressure meets the standard, and feel whether there is electromagnetic suction by touching the valve body with your hand.
Clever solution:
1. Circuit problem: Check if the wiring terminals are loose and if the circuit is damaged. Repair the circuit and tighten the terminals to ensure that the power supply voltage matches the rated voltage of the valve;
2. Gas source issue: Connect a stable gas source, clean the water and oil stains in the gas source pipeline, and ensure that the gas source pressure meets the equipment requirements (usually 0.3-0.6MPa);
3. Stuck valve core: After power off, disassemble the valve, clean the dust and impurities on the valve core, apply a small amount of lubricating grease, and reinstall it. If the valve core is severely worn, replace it directly.
(2) Fault 2: Weak pulse valve blowing and poor dust cleaning effect
Quick check method: Check the air source pressure, observe whether the spray pipe is blocked, and check the sealing condition of the valve core.
Clever solution:
1. Adjust the air source pressure to the standard range, clean the air source filter and oil-water separator to avoid moisture and oil pollution affecting the blowing force;
2. Clear the accumulated dust inside the spray pipe, adjust the position of the spray pipe to ensure even spraying;
3. Check the sealing components of the valve core. If they are aged or damaged, replace them to ensure that the valve core is tightly closed and prevent airflow leakage.
(3) Fault 3: Pulse valve leakage, continuous blowing
Quick check method: Observe whether there is continuous airflow at the valve exhaust port, check whether the valve core is not tightly closed, and whether the seals are intact.
Clever solution:
1. Valve core issue: Disassemble the valve, clean the debris on the valve core, correct the position of the valve core, and ensure that the valve core can be completely closed;
2. Sealing component issue: Replace aging or damaged sealing gaskets and rings, and ensure a tight fit during installation;
3. Impurities in the valve body: Thoroughly clean the dust and debris inside the valve body to avoid impurities obstructing the closure of the valve core.
(4) Fault 4: Pulse valve operates frequently and irregularly
Quick check method: Check the control circuit and time relay, observe whether the air source pressure fluctuates, and check whether the valve is triggered incorrectly.
Clever solution:
1. Control circuit: Check the parameter settings of the time relay, adjust the blowing cycle and duration to a reasonable range, and repair the faulty control circuit;
2. Gas source fluctuation: Stabilize the gas source pressure, check whether the gas source pipeline leaks, and promptly seal the air leakage points;
3. Mistriggering: Check the valve sensing components to avoid signal interference, tighten the wiring terminals, and eliminate poor contact issues.
(5) Fault 5: Valve body overheating and excessive noise
Quick check method: Touch the valve body to feel the temperature (normal operating temperature does not exceed 60 ℃), listen to the running sound, and check whether the coil and bearing are abnormal.
Clever solution:
1. Coil issue: Check the coil wiring to avoid overload. If the coil burns out, replace it with a coil of the same model;
2. Insufficient lubrication: Add a small amount of lubricating grease to the rotating parts inside the valve to reduce the noise and heat generated by friction;
3. Valve core sticking: Clean the debris in the valve core to ensure smooth operation and avoid friction and heat generation.
3、 Troubleshooting and daily maintenance precautions
1. Before all operations, the machine must be shut down, the power supply must be turned off, and safety measures must be taken to avoid the risk of airflow impact and electric shock;
2. When troubleshooting, prioritize cleaning the moisture and oil stains in the gas source to avoid impurities damaging the valve core and seals;
3. When replacing components, ensure that the model is consistent and installed properly to avoid installation deviations that may lead to the recurrence of faults;
4. Regularly clean the valves on a daily basis, check the wiring and gas source every 1-2 weeks, replace the seals every quarter, and extend the service life of the valves.
Summary: Common faults of electromagnetic pulse valves are mainly concentrated in the circuit, gas source, and valve core. Following the principle of quick inspection and using simple practical solutions, equipment operation can be quickly restored. Proper daily basic maintenance can effectively reduce the occurrence rate of failures, ensure the efficiency of dust removal systems, and assist in the continuous and stable operation of industrial production.
