Electromagnetic pulse valve: the core actuator of bag filter dust cleaning system

In the operation system of the pulse bag filter, although the electromagnetic pulse valve is small in size, it plays a "heart like" role. As the compressed air switch of the dust cleaning and blowing system, it directly determines whether the dust collector can effectively remove the accumulated dust on the surface of the filter bag and maintain the low resistance operation of the system.
1、 Working principle: Air pressure difference and instantaneous response
The operation of electromagnetic pulse valves is based on the combination of fluid dynamics and electromagnetic control. The internal diaphragm divides the valve body into front and rear chambers. Under normal conditions, compressed air enters the rear chamber through the throttle hole, and the pressure in the rear chamber presses the diaphragm tightly against the output port, with the valve in the "closed" state.
When the pulse controller emits an electrical signal, the electromagnetic pilot head moves to quickly open the vent hole of the rear chamber. The pressure in the rear chamber instantly decreases, while the pressure in the front chamber remains unchanged. The resulting pressure differential force lifts the diaphragm and opens the valve. The high-pressure air inside the air storage bag is instantly sprayed into the blowing pipe through the valve output port to clean the filter bag. After the electrical signal disappears, the pilot head resets, the rear chamber is re pressurized, and the diaphragm falls back to close the valve. This process is usually completed within a few tens of milliseconds, requiring the valve to have extremely high response speed and sealing performance.
2、 Common structural types
According to different installation environments and airflow channel designs, electromagnetic pulse valves are mainly divided into the following three structural forms:
1. Right angle: The import and export form a 90 degree angle. This is the most common type, suitable for vertical installation of gas storage bags and spray pipes, with a compact structure and easy maintenance.
2. Submerged type: The valve body is directly embedded and installed inside the airbag, with the inlet and outlet centerlines overlapping. This design eliminates channel resistance, ensures smooth airflow, and minimizes pressure loss, making it particularly suitable for low-pressure strong blowing in large dust collectors.
3. Straight through type: Import and export are distributed in a 180 degree straight line. Usually used in specific design scenarios where the airbag and spray pipe are arranged in the same straight line, with smooth flow channels.
3、 Key performance indicators and selection
In industrial applications, the selection of electromagnetic pulse valves should focus on the following parameters:
1. Pressure and temperature resistance: The working pressure is usually between 0.2 and 0.7 MPa, and it needs to be able to withstand certain pressure fluctuations. At the same time, the valve body material and diaphragm material need to adapt to the temperature environment on site. The temperature resistance of conventional diaphragms is generally between -10 ℃ and 65 ℃.
2. Response time: The response time for high-quality pulse valves to open should be less than 0.03 seconds. Fast response means shorter blowing time and less compressed air consumption.
3. Service life: Diaphragm is a vulnerable part, and high-quality diaphragms are usually made of special rubber with strong fatigue resistance. The service life can reach more than 1 million times of spraying.
As the core component of bag filter, the performance stability of electromagnetic pulse valve directly affects the efficiency of the entire dust removal system. Reasonable selection and regular maintenance can not only ensure that dust emissions meet standards, but also effectively extend the service life of filter bags and reduce the operating costs of enterprises.
