The material of the filter cartridge dust collector: the performance cornerstone for adapting to working conditions

The efficient operation and lifespan of a filter cartridge dust collector depend on the material selection of its core components. The difference in material from the filter cartridge to the housing directly affects the filtration efficiency, corrosion resistance, and stability of the equipment under different dust conditions. Clarifying the material characteristics of each component is the key to accurately matching the working conditions of overseas customers for diversified demands in foreign trade scenarios.
Filter cartridge material
1. Polyester (PET): Temperature resistant to 80-120 ℃, can be treated with waterproof and oil resistant properties, suitable for metal processing, grain processing and other non corrosive environments at room temperature, with a filtration efficiency of 99.6%.
2. Polypropylene (PP): Temperature resistant to 60-80 ℃, resistant to weak acid and alkali, suitable for humid or weakly corrosive working conditions, such as food processing, not resistant to high temperatures.
3. Glass fiber: resistant to temperatures of 260-300 ℃, with high filtration accuracy, suitable for high-temperature scenarios such as asphalt mixing and boiler flue gas, but with poor flexural resistance.
4. Nomex (aramid): resistant to temperatures of 204 ℃ (instantaneous 240 ℃), wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant, suitable for medium and high temperature scenarios such as steel plants and casting workshops, with a lifespan 2-3 times that of polyester filter cartridges.
5. PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene): resistant to temperatures up to 250 ℃ and strong corrosion, suitable for extreme scenarios such as chemical fluorine-containing dust and electroplating chromium acid mist, with a lifespan of over 5 years and high cost.
Shell and frame materials
1. Carbon steel (Q235): Low cost, high strength, requiring anti-corrosion treatment, suitable for dry and non corrosive scenarios such as building materials at room temperature, and suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises with limited budgets.
2. Stainless steel (304/316L): 304 has a temperature resistance of 800 ℃ and weak corrosion resistance, suitable for the food and pharmaceutical industries; 316L is resistant to chloride ion corrosion and suitable for coastal and chemical chlorine containing environments. Its lifespan is 3-5 times that of carbon steel.
3. Fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP): Strong corrosion resistance, lightweight, temperature resistance ≤ 120 ℃, suitable for small and medium-sized equipment with strong corrosion at room temperature such as chemical workshops.
Dust cleaning system and accessory materials
1. Pulse valve: Aluminum alloy valve body and nitrile rubber diaphragm for room temperature use; 304 stainless steel valve body and fluororubber diaphragm are used in high temperature or corrosive scenarios, with a lifespan of over 1 million cycles.
2. Spray pipe and skeleton: Galvanized steel pipes are used for normal working conditions, while 316L stainless steel pipes are used for corrosive scenarios; The skeleton is made of galvanized carbon steel for ordinary working conditions, and stainless steel for corrosive scenarios.
3. Seals: Nitrile rubber is used at room temperature, silicone rubber is used at high temperatures (≤ 200 ℃), and fluororubber is used in corrosive environments to ensure airtightness.
Selection principle
1. Select materials according to working conditions, choose fiberglass or Nomex filter cartridges for high temperatures, PTFE filter cartridges and 316L stainless steel shells for strong corrosion.
2. Balance cost and lifespan, choose economical materials for regular working conditions, and high-performance materials for extreme working conditions.
3. Export equipment must comply with target market standards, such as EU REACH, US FDA, etc.
