Cartridge dust collectors operate similarly to baghouse dust collectors, with the primary difference being the type of filter used. Cartridge dust collectors use pleated cartridges, which offer better dust capture efficiency. Working Principle
Cartridge dust collectors filter dust-laden air using filter cartridges. Dust-laden air enters the dust collector through the inlet, where larger particles settle into the hopper due to gravity and the distribution of airflow. Fine particles are carried by the airflow to the surface of the filter cartridges, where they are trapped. Clean air then passes through the center of the cartridges into the clean air chamber and is expelled through the exhaust outlet. As filtration progresses, dust accumulates on the surface of the cartridges. When the dust layer reaches a certain thickness, the pulse-jet cleaning system activates, using compressed air to blow the dust off the cartridge surface, restoring the filtration capacity.
