How to choose dust removal equipment for chemical plants? Recommended for dust collectors

Chemical plant dust often contains corrosive components and some are flammable and explosive. When selecting dust removal equipment, priority should be given to solving the three major problems of "corrosion prevention, explosion prevention, and temperature resistance", while meeting environmental compliance.

1、 Selecting dust removal equipment for chemical plants: focus on three core dimensions first

1. First, check the characteristics of the dust and avoid the "material minefield"
Acid and alkali corrosion (such as chemical waste dust): The equipment material must be 316L stainless steel or PP plastic to avoid rusting of carbon steel;
Flammable and explosive (such as paint powder, solvent dust): Explosion proof design is required, such as adding explosion-proof plates and anti-static filter materials;
High temperature (such as reaction kettle flue gas): Select equipment with a temperature resistance of ≥ 200 ℃, and use PPS or PTFE material as filter material.
2. Review compliance again to ensure risk-free customs clearance
Export to the EU: CE certification required, dust emissions ≤ 10mg/m ³;
Export to North America: Compliant with EPA standards, some states require ≤ 5mg/m ³;
Emerging markets: Provide SGS testing reports to meet local environmental filing requirements.
3. Finally, look at operations and maintenance to reduce downtime losses
Choose equipment that is easy to disassemble, wash, and requires minimal replacement, such as filter bags that can be replaced separately;

2、 Two types of dust removal equipment suitable for chemical plants

1. Pulse bag filter: preferred for fine dust and anti-corrosion
Adaptation scenario: Processing fine dust above 0.1 μ m, especially suitable for working conditions with slight corrosion;
Advantages: The filter bag is made of PTFE material, and after adding an explosion-proof valve, it can cope with flammable and explosive dust, which complies with the EU ATEX certification;
Foreign trade adaptation: Supports customization of 316L stainless steel shell, suitable for high-temperature chemical plants in the Middle East.
2. Electrostatic precipitator: high air volume+high temperature adaptation
Adaptation scenario: High temperature flue gas and high air flow conditions in large chemical plants;
Advantages: The electrode plates are made of 316L stainless steel, without filter bags, and have low long-term operating costs;
Foreign trade adaptation: Meets the ultra-low emission requirements of the US EPA and can be integrated with factory DCS systems.
The core of selecting dust removal equipment for chemical plants is "working condition matching+compliance and worry free". Select the above two types of equipment based on whether the dust is corrosive, flammable, and the size of the air volume, and combine them with international certification to meet production safety and smoothly open up overseas markets.
